over a century of combined experience,these individuals bring substantial
knowledge, experience, and expertise to Synergy’s ongoing commitment to
scientific research and development of its heart healthy products. Synergy
WorldWide is proud to introduce the members that comprise the 2011-2012 Medical
& Scientific Advisory Board.
Dr. J. Joseph
Prendergast is board-certified in endocrinology, internal medicine, and
metabolism. He is the author of over 50 medical articles in well-known
publications such as the Journal of the American Medical Association, The New
England Journal of Medicine, and Diabetes Care. Dr. Prendergast has been
recommending l-arginine to his patients since 1991 and has seen incredible
results, both personally and with his patients. In 2007, Dr. Prendergast
partnered with Synergy WorldWide and greatly contributed to the current
formulation of ProArgi-9+.
Siva
Arunasalam, M.D.
Dr. Siva Arunasalam
is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional
cardiology. He completed his internship at the Harbor UCLA Medical Center in
Torrance, CA and his fellowship in cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in
Los Angeles, CA. In 1996, Dr. Siva founded the High Desert Heart Institute in
Victorville, CA where he currently serves as the President and attending
cardiologist. He and his surrounding staff of fellow cardiologists, nurses, and
medical personnel are heavily involved in researching alternative, noninvasive
solutions for improving heart health.
William J. Keller, Ph.D.
Dr.
William J. Keller joined Nature's Sunshine Products (Synergy's parent company)
in 2001 as the Vice President of Health Science and Educational Services. Prior
to Nature's Sunshine, Dr. Keller earned a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a
master's degree in Pharmaceutial Sciences from Idaho State University. In 1972
he was awarded with a Ph.D. in Pharmacognosy from the University of Washington.
Dan
Austin, RN
Dan Austin, RN, has
been a practicing nurse for over two decades, working primarily in the areas of
critical care and emergency nursing. Currently he is the clinical coordinator
for the congestive heart failure (CHF) outpatient clinic at the High Desert
heart Institute in Victorville, CA. As the clinical coordinator, Dan works
closely with Dr. Siva Arunasalam, M.D. in the planning and implementation of
clinical research studies with l-arginine and critical care for their patients.
Kuan Hoong
Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.
